The New Zealand dollar is continuing on its bumpy ride as markets continue to deliver uncertainty over the fledgling strength of the US dollar.

Overnight the NZ dollar went from US$78.93 at 5pm down to around US$78.40 but then by 8am Tuesday, it was back to US$78.82.

The New Zealand dollar is currently trading against the Australian dollar at $0.77.
