Wet weather has forced the postponement of two Tauranga community events this weekend, with organisers shifting both programmes to later dates.
Baypark Speedway has postponed its annual fireworks spectacular meeting by 24 hours because of forecast heavy rain.
The Bay Fireworks Spectacular and Bill Buckley Midget Car Classic, originally scheduled for Saturday night, will now take place on Sunday, November 8, with racing getting under way at 5.30pm.
The Bill Buckley Midget Car Classic remains the headline event, with leading contenders including Mitch Fabish, Brock Maskovich, Ben Morrison, Daniel Thomas, Kayden Barker, Luke McClymont, Alec Insley and Trent Way.

American driver Ethan Mitchell returns for his third New Zealand campaign, while Christchurch racers Jay Chadwick, Craig Cox and Jeremy Webb will also travel north for the meeting.
Sprint Cars, Super Stocks and Youth Mini Stocks will complete the programme.
Organisers said the revised Sunday schedule would proceed on the designated rain date, with the first race starting at 5.30pm.
Meanwhile, The Tauranga Moana Race Against Family Violence, which was due to be held on Saturday at Jordan Field in Memorial Park, has been postponed until Saturday, November 14, from 9am to 1pm because of the forecast weather conditions.
The free community event aims to bring Western Bay residents and local organisations together for a day of racing, entertainment, food and family activities while raising awareness of the ongoing impact of family violence in New Zealand.
Family Works Bay of Plenty area manager Julie Peake said the event carried an important message.
"Family violence affects people from all walks of life. Behind every statistic are individuals, children and whānau whose lives have been changed forever."
The event will include races for all ages and abilities, a community barbecue, music, circus activities, prizes and a shoe installation honouring those affected by family violence.
Family Works has partnered with organisations including Tauranga Living Without Violence, Cedar Hub, SociaLink, Whaioranga Trust, Kidz Need Dadz, U OK Bro, Bay of Plenty Youth Development Trust and Tauranga City Council. The event also aligns with White Ribbon activities taking place throughout November.
