Power outage in Tauriko following car hitting pole

There is a power outage in Tauriko following a car hitting a power pole just before midday.

The vehicle crashed into the power pole on Belk Rd, with the power cut at 11.45am affecting 103 properties.

Police report that there were no injuries and no road blocking.

"The power lines came down and the line company was contacted to fix them," says a Police spokesperson.

Power is expected to be restored by 4.45pm.
