A truck has caused damage to the median barrier of State Highway 2 in Papamoa.

Police have confirmed debris from the incident partially obstructed the road on the Kairua Road and the Sandhurst Drive off-ramp.

'We received a report at around 8.10am that a truck had driven over a median barrier on SH2,” says a police spokesperson.

'The truck carried on following the crash.

'Since then, we've received a number of calls from members of the public regarding pieces of the median barrier being loose and obstructing part of the road.”

The spokesperson confirmed that police have been on the scene.

'It looks like police attended and dealt with it, so hopefully it's all well-resolved by now.”
