Reports are coming in of a two car crash on State Highway 2, in Tahawai.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says two vehicle have crashed on the highway, near its intersection of Stokes Road.

"Everyone appears to be out of the vehicles.

"Fire and police are at the scene. The road looks like it is blocked, so people should expect delays."
