Investigations are underway into the cause of a crash in Maungatapu.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the Maungatapu Road on-ramp to State Highway 29A at 8.37pm on Monday.

A police spokesperson says it was reported to be a two vehicle crash.

The spokesperson says one person is reportedly in a serious condition.

'Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are continuing.”

Police with information about the crash can report it to the police's non-emergency 105 line.

Alternatively, information can also be reported anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.
