A person is in a serious condition after a crash in Maungatapu tonight.

Police received a report of a two vehicle crash on the Maungatapu Road on-ramp to State Highway 29A around 8:37pm, says a police spokesperson.

The spokesperson says one person is reportedly in a serious condition.

'One vehicle is said to have left the scene.”

The road is being cleared now.
