One person has died following a crash on Rotokohu Road in Paeroa.
Emergency services were notified at 2.13pm, says a police spokesperson.
The serious crash involved one vehicle.
"Motorists are asked to continue to avoid the area, diversions will be in place," says the police spokesperson.
