Police say they are still trying to locate the driver who fled a crash scene in Brookfield.

Residents were pulled from their homes, when a ute smashed into a parked car on Solomon Street around 9pm.

Witnesses at the scene say the vehicle, which is usually parked on Solomon Street near its intersection of Lisa Place, was hit with such force that it spun 180 degrees and ended up in the intersection.

One resident says they sitting in their lounge when they heard a loud noise.

'It was very distinctive. That metal crunching sound. I looked out my window and saw a ute speed away.

'It looked like one of its back tyres were blown, as it was on an awkward lean.

'Luckily, no one was in the parked vehicle when the ute crashed into it. It sustained massive damage to the driver's side.”

Other residents report that the ute was found abandoned not far from the crash scene.

A police spokesperson says they received a report of a vehicle colliding with a parked car near the intersection of Solomon St and Lisa Place.

'An ambulance was sent, but stood down.

'It appears police are making enquiries to locate the driver.”
