UPDATE: State Highway 2 is reported to be clear following a two vehicle crash.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says two vehicles had crashed on the highway, near Minden Road, about 7.30am.

The lane heading towards Tauranga was reported to be blocked.

A police spokesperson says there were no reports of injuries.

"It was a two car crash.

"The vehicles have left the scene."

Reports are coming in of a crash on State Highway 2, near Te Puna this morning.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says two vehicles have crashed near Minden Road.

"It looks like one lane is blocked. It doesn't look like anyone is seriously injured.

"People should expect delays."
