UPDATE 9.19AM: A car has crashed into a parked car in Mount Maunganui this morning.

A police spokesperson says they received a call to the crash on Newton Street, near Hill Road, at 8.15am

"This is a crash between a car and a parked car on Newton Street.

"One person was reported to have sustained moderate injuries."

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Traffic delays are being reported following a crash in Mount Maunganui this morning.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says traffic management is in place at the intersection of Newton Street and Hull Road.

"It looks like a couple of vehicles have crashed on Newton Street.It looks like everyone is out of there vehicles."
