Welcome Bay Road is closed this morning after a car crashed into a power pole.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a vehicle has crashed on Welcome Bay Road.
"It has hit a power pole.
"The crash is near Waikite Road. People should expect delays."
Powerco is reporting that power is out in the area.
According to its website, about 813 properties are affected by the outage.

A police spokesperson says they received a report of a single-vehicle crash on Welcome Bay Road at about 7am.
"It looks like there are lines down and a diversion has been put in place."
An ambulance has been called to the scene, along with firefighhters.
