Updated 5.50pm: The Thames Coast Road has reopened after a fatal crash this morning.

A motorcyclist is dead following a crash with a truck on State Highway 25.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the Thames Coast Road, between Russek and Manaia roads, at 8.50am.

Police have confirmed that the motorcyclist died following the crash.

"The road remains closed and diversions are in place," says a police spokesperson.

" Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash will continue."
