UPDATE: Emergency services are responding to a two vehicle crash on State Highway 36.

A police spokeswoman says they were notifed of the crash on the intersection of Taumata Road and Pyes Pa Road at 11.40am.

"Fire and Emergency is in attendance, and one person is reported to have moderate injuries."

She says the road doesn't appear to be blocked.

Earlier: Motorists travelling between Tauranga and Rotorua are being advised to expect some delays on State Highway 36.

A SunLive reader has messaged us on Facebook to say there is a crash on SH36, near Taumata Road.

They say traffic will be delayed for people using the Tauranga bound lane.
