A crash between a car and a motorbike has occurred on the Kaimai Range, near the summit on the Matamata side.

The motorcyclist has received moderate injuries and has been transported to Tauranga Hospital.

The incident is reportedly blocking the left-hand lane heading towards Tauranga, a Police spokesperson says.

The SH29 crash occurred around 7:20pm.
