Trucks parking at night in residential areas.

Clearly, it was going to be a matter of time before something like this happened! How frightful for the vehicle that hit the truck. I too, live in Ohauiti in a caldasac and a big truck rig parks up the top of the street, and wakes residents of our street as early as 3am. Come on council, this is one thing you should do, ban these heavy vehicles from coming home at night into our streets. After all, isn't that what workplace commercial truck yard :(

Who is in the wrong?

Ok.... the truck is normally parked there. 1. On a yellow line? 2. Facing the wrong way? (No reflectors visible for night traffic). Then you have to ask yourself, how the hell do you hit a parked truck? Drugs? Alcohol? Texting? Tired? Medical event? Speeding? Inatention? Stupidity? More information please!

Yes, seen this truck parked there many times. Left hand bend, no tail or parking lights. Accident waiting to happen, and finally did. Half on the road, half on the road, no parking lines. Throw the book at the professional truck driver
