Update: One person has sustained moderate injuries following a crash between a cyclist and car on Cameron Road this morning.
Police responded to a report of a car v cyclist around 8.40am.
A police spokesperson says traffic was slow on both lanes but is easing off now.
A St John spokesperson says the patient in moderate condition has been take to Tauranga Hospital.
Earlier: Reports are coming in of a crash on Cameron Road.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says traffic is stopped on Cameron Road, outside the Salvation Army.
"It appears a car and cyclist have crashed.
"The cyclist is lying on the road."
Another witness at the scene says traffic is being diverted down 5th Avenue.
Motorists are advised to expect delays.

Let's hear it................it's the driver of the car at fault, the speed limit should be reduced to crawling pace, and there should be a separated cycle lane along Cameron Road, which the cyclists don't have to pay towards........yawn yawn!!!
