The ease of transition through the general election period is providing settled market conditions in the New Zealand economy.
With most pundits predicting a National win at the election, and with that party securing a near majority in Parliament on its own, there is little disruption to the market.
The election result has also seen a flurry of interest as people's attention turns to when the government will sell state assets.
IRG BOP investment advisor Jonathan York says the first sale is expected to be in the middle period of 2012.
