Emergency services rushed to an Ōhauiti property early this morning after reports a vehicle had crashed into a house.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand northern fire communications shift manager Colin Underdown said firefighters were called to reports of a car off the road on McFetridge Lane in Ōhauiti just after 1am.
“It was initially believed to be a car into a house, but there was no damage to the house.
“Everyone was out of the car and we left the scene in the hands of police.”
A police spokesperson said they were notified of a single vehicle crash at 1.20am.
“There were no injuries; however, the driver will undergo the youth process due to excess breath alcohol.”
