Buckling down for big moments

The New Zealand dollar is holding in the US74c range ahead of this weekend's general election.

Overseas investor confidence can be tenuous in a country heading to the polls and at US74c, the New Zealand dollar is holding a near eight-month low.

ANZ New Zealand senior dealer Alex Sinton says there have been some currency sales this week.

It is trading today at about US74.8c – rising from US74.71c at end of trading Tuesday.
