Bay of Plenty residents are being warned to expect more rain in the region tomorrow, with a chance of thunder and hail.
While there are no current warnings or watches in place for the Bay, the MetService says tomorrow is looking wet.
"A large, complex area of low pressure lies over New Zealand, moving slowly eastwards today and during Thursday.
"On its northern flank, a front will bring a burst of heavy rain to Buller and northwest Nelson; to Wellington and Horowhenua Kapiti Coast; and to Taranaki, Waitomo, Taumarunui and Taupo."
During Thursday, cold southerlies will spread up the east coast, bringing rain and southerly gales to Kaikoura Coast, Marlborough and Wellington.
Things are looking a bit finer on Friday, with the forecast for fine spells. There is a chance of showers in the afternoon.
At this stage, the MetService is forecasting a relatively fine weekend.
