Waiting for people to start blaming the roads.... I don't doubt there are some atrocious roads out there that need fixing but so many accidents are caused by inattention and driver distraction.

As we see in the photo, this road has a STOP sign, so what was the excuse? So many local motorists ignore STOP signs and orange/red lights. Obviously another example of a silly choice,
Trouble is...

They crash their car today.... and tomorrow they will get another one. Just look at the 'most read' column?? 5 dead, eight crashes, Maungatapu fatal, another fatal, car and bus in Greerton, and 2 vehicle crash in Bethlehem??... that is six out of the 15 headlines? What can be done to stop this? Wake up people
How?

How do you get a head on crash on a relatively straight stretch of road? Could it be driver inattention yet again?

I agree. Driving in Auckland is bad, everyone there are really aggressive drivers. But in saying that, they also put driving as at least number 2 on their to do list, more people will always mean more crashes. However, down here, it seems alot of drivers have driving at number 4 on their priority list. And it's not necessarily a bad thing, but alot of drivers down here put alot of focus on pedestrian safety. Where does that leave the rest of us drivers???
wasnt a head on
