Tauranga motorists are being reminded there may be delays in the area of Sandhurst Drive and State Highway 2 Interchange due to road closures on SH29A says the New Zealand Transport Agency.

Reconstruction of the rail level crossing near the SH2 roundabout the the Truman Lane Roundabout, Te Maunga has closed the road to all traffic.

The road will remain closed until 4am on Monday August 8. During this time, the Agency says motorists can expect possible delays during the day today and tomorrow, especially in the area of Sandhurst Drive and SH2 interchange.

Motorists wanting to use SH29A are being asked to use alternative routes such as SH2, Tauranga Harbour Bridge or Sandhurst Drive.
