Where Is The Money Coming From?

Our council seems to be cash strapped, deep in debt and I wonder can we really afford it at this time. The whole of the CBD needs to be rethought re developed and is this the answer?

It would pay the council to have a look at Wellington waterfront before they do anymore add hock development here in Tauranga. This way we may get a better more sheltered and useable waterfront.

Money?

What a waste of money! I think it would be dangerous ! The council have huge rules for the private Ratepayers pools and here they want to encourage or tempt children and adults alike into an unfenced water area

Rates

This is why the city counsel is increasing our rates despite the fact that our RV's have all gone up. How about we get some democracy in here and get a vote on this. Lets all get a vote on first, should they increase our rates and secondly if they should be spending this kind of money. Oh wait, I forgot, this isn't a democracy.

Should rivers and the sea be fenced off as well?. Parents, take responsibility for looking after your children

Love it - will be a big improvement - a starting point for the CBD.

There is a vote, the TCC staff rip around the office and come up with a cunning plan, they all decide it is wonderful and so get the usual rubber stamp from Councilors and then head off to do it all. The usual spend up of 2-3 times more happens. After spent they wander back and say "ops over spent a bit, never mind, just borrow a bit more to cover that ..." then on to the next one, happy as can be.

Stop P*s&ing around.
