Timelapse of $45M roading project

A timelapse video of construction beginning on the SH29A Maungatapu underpass shows the progress made on the project so far.

The video has been posted by the New Zealand Transport Agency on its Facebook page.

A timelapse video of the Maungatapu underpass construction has been released by the NZTA.

The video shows work at the roundabout itself, where lines of holes are being drilled and filled with reinforcing and concrete to create the walls of the two traffic lanes and a three metre wide cycleway/footpath that will pass beneath the highway.

The $45 million underpass project was officially started in September last year and is expected to take three years to complete.

But when is NZTA going to complete the job, you know the other $55m odd spend on the causeway and widening through to 15th Ave? Without that this little spend up is meaningless.

NZTA will never finish that part of the development, because SH2A Turret Road is now a Tauranga City Council Road....they broke their promise....who broke it....you start asking....
