Fuel prices have risen again, with BP leading a 3c increase on petrol and 2c on diesel.
It's the first time the price of 91 octane has been over $2 per litre in five months, says AA spokesperson Mark Stockdale.

'The commodity price for petrol is at its highest level in five months,” says Mark, 'up US$6 since the last price rise, while the NZ$ has fallen 1c in the last few days.
'The last time commodity prices were this high, we were paying $2.06 per litre for 91 octane.”
After petrol margins fell below average late last week, the latest increase puts them back in the normal range.
But diesel margins are over 40 cents per litre, and although diesel commodity prices are up US$3 per barrel, the AA says the fuel companies could have absorbed that increase and kept diesel retail prices unchanged.
Meanwhile, Gull is planning on dropping its fuel prices today.
From 7am today to 12pm Friday, Gull will drop is fuel prices by 10c.
'With the evenings getting darker and bad weather becoming more frequent, people may find they're driving more, therefore using more petrol, to get from A to B,” says Dave Bodger, General Manager of Gull New Zealand.
'At Gull, we want to do our bit to keep household costs down by offering lower fuel prices.”
Prices at sites where Gull controls the price will be no higher than $1.829 for Regular 91, with some prices as low as $1.529 for regular grade fuel and the lowest price of $0.849 for diesel.
Motorists can save even more money at Gull when using Countdown supermarket vouchers in conjunction with already discounted prices at manned sites today.
