Any American car will do

Cars made in America are on display today, Sunday bringing car enthusiasts to the Wharepai Domain for the Mothers Polishes, Waxes and Cleaners All USA Day.

Dave Coran has always had an interest in American classic cars and likes to attend car shows throughout the North Island.

The car show is hosted by the Bay of Plenty Mustang Owners Club with more than 200 American cars from Cadillac's to Muscle cars on display.
'Anything made in America, it doesn't matter what year,” says Bay of Plenty Mustang Owners Club's Dianne Hyde.
Dianne says the popular event is a great opportunity for an affordable day out with fun activities and food stalls on site.
'It's a day for the young and old – it's not just about men, it's for women too.”

Kerry Williamson and Mary Winteringham from Te Puke enjoy the sunshine at the All USA Day on Sunday.

Mount Maunganui's Dave Coran has his 1965 Cadillac DeVille on display which he imported from California five years ago.
He likes to take one of his three Cadillac's out at least once a week.
'They deteriorate if you don't use them.”
Kerry Williamson and Mary Winteringham from Te Puke have their 1967 Chrysler Valiant on show today which has been in their family for 36 years.
'We use it a fair bit over the summer.”
Entry is $2 for adults and $5 for a family pass; a percentage of the gate fee goes towards Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
