Te Puke lock Tim Bond continues to make strides with the Chiefs after being asked to captain a young development side to take on the Hurricanes Development.
Bond, who has been seen training with the Chiefs Super Rugby side in Hamilton recently, is joined by fellow Bay of Plenty players Joe Royal, Dan Hollinshead, Solomona Sakalia, Aidan Ross, and Matty Axtens.

The two sides face off at 2pm today in Te Kuiti, with Chiefs Development coach Dave Dillon using the fixture to give players pushing for a New Zealand Under-20 berth a chance to enhance their chances.
Players in the mix include Te Puke first-five Hollinshead and prop Ross, while the Waikato players are Bryn Gatland, Mitchell Jacobson and Tau Koloamatangi.
They have all recently come through a trial camp at the Massey University Sport and Rugby Institute, ahead of the 2015 Junior World Championship, to be held in Italy in June.
'We want to give as many players as possible the opportunity to be considered for national selection,” says Dillon.
Today's match is the second in a series of five matches and the first of two fixtures between the Chiefs and Hurricanes development sides.
