UPDATED - 13/03/2015: The NZ Transport Agency says planned roadworks on State Highway 2 between Paeroa and Waihi has now been cancelled.

The cancellation is due to the predicted bad weather caused by Tropical Cyclone Pam, which is expected to bring heavy winds and rains this weekend.

The NZTA says they planned to reschedule the works and SunLive will update its readers once dates and times are confirmed.
