Police Ten 7, hosted by Tauranga's own Rob Lemoto, is up for Best Reality Show in the 2015 TV Guide NZ Best on the Box awards.

Voting is open for the awards which see former presenter and retired Detective Inspector Graham Bell up for Best Presenter for the last series.

Tauranga's own Rob Lemoto is the host of crime series Police Ten 7.

Detective Sergeant Rob Lemoto took over from Graham last year.

The former Te Puke community Constable first appeared on the show in 2004 when he investigated an aggravated robbery at a McDonald's in his hometown. Read more about Rob here.

Speaking to SunLive, Rob says it's great to see the show nominated for the award of Best Reality Show.

He says: 'As a serving officer, I feel that Police Ten 7 is a great chance for the public to see how testing it can be for our thin blue line in ‘real time' and a unique opportunity to help solve serious crime.
