A love of video games attracted Waihi Beach kart racer Mason Skinner, 8 into the sport 10 months ago.

Mason Skinner has been racing for 10 months, see video below for why racing karts interests him.

His dad bought him a kart and since then he has competed in a number of races including Sunday's Farmer Auto Village Tauranga Street Race.
Mason raced in the first race of the day, the cadets and despite finding it hard to get a position and gain a placing he found the race itself ‘very exciting'.
