Traffic in Tauranga is crawling with road works at key junctures and the road closures related to the Farmer Auto Village Street Race causing blockages and a snail's pace.

The intersection at 15^th Avenue and Fraser Street is causing some slight delay with road works there partially blocking a lane.

Traffic is heavy along Memorial Park.

In Bethlehem the closing stages of the project on the stretch of State Highway 2 that passes through the shopping area and workers there have the road down to one lane in each direction across an unsealed road.

Traffic is stalled in Bethlehem.

It is in downtown Tauranga where the traffic is worst, however, with the closure of Cameron Road between Elizabeth Street and 3^rd Avenue. This is pushing all city-bound traffic onto Devonport Road causing a large back-up of cars.

At 10am the traffic was queued on Devonport Road from Elizabeth Street back to Memorial Park.

These roads are closed for the kart race:

• Cameron Road between Elizabeth Street and Third Avenue
• Elizabeth Street from Cameron Road to Takitimu Drive
• Glasgow Street, Third Avenue West
• Plus the surrounding streets from 6th Avenue to Wharf Street along Cameron Road.
