After a one week delay, the second of three events in the Billabong Grom Series will fly into action this weekend at Whangamata.
The event is set to take on a solid swell, contrasting the lake-like ocean that presented itself last weekend.

The big surf will put the massive field of surfers to the test with waves up to 2.0m predicted. This type of forecast will suit the Under-20 Boys and Girls Division entrants - the oldest at the event - the who enjoy more power behind their waves.
Winners of the first event, Dune Kennings from Whangamata and Mount Maunganui's Raiha Ensor, are well known for their ability to charge bigger waves and this weekend's conditions could see them take back-to-back wins.
The Under-20 Boys Division sees the return of Paul Moretti (Mimiwhangata) and Joshua Taylor (Mount Maunganui) - two surfers that have dominated Billabong Grom Series events in previous years.
Both surfers revel in solid surf and will be dark horses as the event progresses through to the final rounds on Sunday.
Mount surfer Kehu Butler won the National Championships earlier in the year before making his debut journey to the North Shore of Hawaii and missing the Mount Maunganui leg of the series.
Butler will be back in action this weekend, contesting the Under-17 Boys Division, where he will look to topple event one winner Daniel Farr (Taranaki), who currently holds the number one ranking.
For the Under-17 Girls it will be Gisborne's Kai Woolfe who will be out to defend not only the Under-17 Girls Division title but also the Under-14 Girls Division that she won at the first event held at Mount Maunganui.
With big waves on offer, the likes of Ensor as well as Abby Falwasser-Logan (Gisborne) and the Mount pairing of Elin Tawharu and Kea Smith will all be keen to topple the young surfer.
The Under-14 Divisions will have to front up to some big surf over the weekend, particularly on Saturday when the swell peaks. Conditions should be more manageable on Sunday with a decreasing swell.
Queensland-based Kaya Horne has returned to compete at the event. Horne won the National Championships in January before claiming the first event of this series three weeks ago and looks unstoppable in the division.
Action will take place from 8am-4pm daily at Whangamata's main beach.
The third event of the Billabong Grom Series will be held at Auckland's Piha Beach on March 7-8.
The three-event series is part of the New Zealand Grom Series, which comprises of up to seven events for some divisions and features the country's top junior surfers.
