UPDATED 11am: Emergency services were called to a crash on the Kaimai Road overnight after a car struck a barrier and rolled near Ngamuwahine Road.

A Tauranga woman in her 20s was also taken to hospital with moderate injuries. Tauranga St John Ambulance reports a man in his 20s from Tauranga was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Three people were in the Toyota Camry which appeared to have lost control on a bend before striking Armco and rolling. Emergency services were called at 12.31am. The vehicle was upside down when emergency services reached the scene.

Greerton Fire Service station office Paul van Kol says all three people were out of the vehicle when they arrived. St John Ambulance staff treated two of them.
