According to the NZ Pony Club Association, passing the H (horse management) and A (riding) examinations are the pinnacle in the sport.

Together these award a rider with the A certificate, which indicates a high level of competency in both riding and horse management and is recognised worldwide.

An honours pass requires an A- mark or above in each of the eight phases of the two exams.

Tim and Paige have been a combination for three years, representing both Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty at national events including Show Hunter, Horse of the Year, Dressage Championships and Horse Trials.

Paige is also one of 12 rider representatives for Pony Club nationwide.

Her horse Rainbow Impulse, aka Tim, is a 168cms tall, 11-year-old pinto gelding.

Paige, a Greerton Pony club member for six years, was the only rider out of 15 candidates to sit both exams while seven other NZ Pony Club Association members passed either their H or A exam.
