Police are currently attending a car which rolled into a bank along Tairua Whitianga Rd sometime before 11am this morning.

Fire Service Northern Communications Centre shift commander Steve Smith says crews from Hahei were sent to the scene but have since been stood down.

'The car was off the road by the time we got there but it appears that no-one was injured.

'Police are currently arranging a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle and our trucks have been stood down by police.”

There are no reports of road closures along Tairua Whitianga Rd.
