My Baby play Mount Maunganui's Mauao Performing Arts Centre tonight.
My Baby is Dutch siblings Joost van Dyke and Cato van Dyke on guitar, drums and vocals, with Kiwi boy Daniel Dafreez on guitar.
The Amsterdam-born and New Zealand raised guitarist is bringing his band back to their roots after a ten-year spell of musicianship in Europe.
The ‘My baby Loves Voodoo' New Zealand tour kicked off in December of last year and sees the band play 28 shows before it wraps up next month.
With decadent lashings of voodoo blues, trance and funk, their 2013 critically acclaimed debut album ‘My Baby Loves Voodoo' has garnered the band fans right across the world.
They were first discovered in 2012 by funk legend Larry Graham of ‘Sly and the family Stone' fame, and ever since it's been a magical ride that has seen them play stages all over the globe.
This is a chance to see a very unique band performing ahead of their second album European release tour.
My Baby performs at the Mauao Performing Arts Centre in mount Maunganui tonight, from 8pm to 11pm. The gig is R18.
