The sweet sounds of three singer-songwriters will fill Major Toms in Mount Maunganui for a free gig taking place tonight, from 7pm.

It is part of Auckland multi-instrumentalist Ezra Vine's summer tour, which sees him joining forces with Mount Maunganui's Alexander Wildwood and Portland-born Kaitlin Riegel.

The three musicians are hitting the road and bringing their unplugged acoustic sets to Tauranga, followed by Christchurch, Wellington and Bethels Beach.

Ezra Vine is a multi-instrumentalist obsessed with escapism, indulging his melodic fantasies among handclaps, and the waltz of bass drums.

His debut single ‘Celeste' was one of the biggest airplay hits in New Zealand in 2013 and is followed up by the equally-infectious, ‘Braver Than Most' currently playing on the airwaves.

Mount Maunganui musician Alexander Wildwood grew up on the sea, sailing the world as a boy listening to The Beach Boys and Neil Young.

In November the songwriter and producer released his debut EP ‘South of No North', and spent 2014 supporting several international acts including Boyce Avenue, Boy & Bear's and UK band Elbow.

Kaitlin Riegel has been singing and songwriting since the young age of 10, and while honing her skills has developed a unique alternative-contemporary sound.

Kaitlin spent 2014 working on her new EP, plus performing showcases in New York and London. This month saw the release of 'System', Kaitlin's contemporary RnB track with catchy hooks.
