When your driveway is roughly 1.6 kilometres long it'd be easy to imagine that collecting the mail would be a daily nuisance.
But ask Leadfoot Festival founder Rod Millen whether that's the case and he'll simply laugh because it is no mere driveway, oh no, it is a racetrack where dreams are made.

Leadfoot is a very unique celebration of motorsport which returns to Hahei in the Coromandel over the upcoming Waitangi Long Weekend, from February 6 to 8.
The festival is now into its third year and held on Rod and Shelly Millen's 150 acre ocean-front estate the husband and wife duo have dubbed ‘Leadfoot Ranch'.
Its race track features 1.6km of fast hot mix, with 16 corners including a series of hairpin turns and an elevation of 80 metres from start to finish.
To put it simply: 'Leadfoot is about a guy that loves his cars and toys, spread over 150 acres”.
'My whole career was in motorsport,” says Rod. 'I drove for a lot of manufacturers doing all types of racing; from circuits and off road to rally and hill climbs.
'Leadfoot is a celebration of all types of cars, old and new, and attracts a very diverse group of people who have one thing in common: a love and passion for vehicles.”
Rod has personally hand selected championship racers from around the world to participate in the festival and will include big international competitors and personalities.
There will also be a collection of static celebrated vintage cars and bikes to line areas of the paddocks 'making it like no other motorsport festival in New Zealand,” he says.
'There will be a wide variety of cars taking to the track. They each race one at a time and each vehicle will be different from the next which will be great for spectators.
'And on the Sunday we'll have a Top 10 shootout where the top cars from the pre-1975 era will decide who's the quickest, which will then be followed by the top 10 overall cars.
'They'll line up at the completion on the day and see who is the king of the mountain.”
Rod says along with all the amazing vehicles on display there will also be a great selection of food, beer and wine, plus music staged on at the ranch's natural amphitheatre on Friday and Saturday nights.
Spectators are also being invited to dress up to dress up in period style clothing to add another element of fun to their weekend.
'It'll be like stepping back in time to create an incredible family experience and a true celebration of motorsports and all things automotive.”
Rod says preparations for this year's event are going swimmingly and ticket sales have been strong since they went on sale.
He would like to thank everyone who's lent a hand this year, as well as the Thames Coromandel District Council who have provide support towards promotion and marketing.
'The council have seen what we are doing and that it attracts people came come from all over the country and overseas.
'They Not only to come to our event but spend some time on the Coromandel enjoying all the beauty that is here.
'So come and spend the weekend at Leadoot, hang out and have a great time. We look forward to looking after you,” says Rod.
