The festivities are in full swing down with thousands of New Year's Eve revellers descending in droves to Mount Maunganui tonight.
If you're starting to feel like a sardine in a tin can that's probably because local authorities estimate as many as 45,000 people will be celebrating on the Mount.
If you love your music and want to get a good boogie on then get yourself down to Marine Parade where two stages have been setup especially for the evening.
The Hits Street Stage has been constructed by the Marine Parade tennis court and will feature acts Daughter's of Ally, Spank the Funky and Hipstamatics.
While the iHeart Beach Stage, built by the Mount toilet block, will feature DJ Candy, Joe's Van and New Reptiles.
Music has now kicked off on both stages and will run until the wee early hours, 1.30am tomorrow morning to be specific.
