For the third time in a row a Bay of Plenty DHB Sweat crew has taken out the Super 12 Dragon Boat Regatta.
Held at The Lakes over the weekend, Team Sweat Two beat out 26 other teams to take the title and claim their much sought after three-peat.

The final race saw Sweat Two take on The Pirates from Te Puke, The Speedsters from Mount Maunganui and their co-workers Sweat Three, who took out fourth place.
Sweat Two team captain Dillon Te Kani says it came as a bit of a shock as there was less emphasis on being competitive and more focus on ‘giving it a crack' this year.
'One of the crews we came up against in the final absolutely trounced us in the heats by a few seconds,” says Dillon.
'It was a really tight final race and we actually weren't too sure if we'd won the race until they read our name out.”
Dillon says overall they had another 'awesomely organised day” and not even the blustery weather could take the shine off the Bay of Plenty Dragon Boat Club who ran the event.
Organiser Bets Thomas says it was also another awesome regatta for the club who have received a huge amount of praise for their event.
'All the teams had a really great time and we certainly couldn't have asked for a better day really,” says Bets.
'We had NZ Dragon Boat Association return this year and once again they were just completely impressed by the event.”
Bets says a few of the team who competed have indicated they are keen to carry on past the regatta.
Many people also showed interest in the Bay of Plenty Dragon Boat Club, adds Bets.
'The regatta is just a superb way to promote the club and I would like to thank everybody who took part and who helped out.
'If anybody - male, females, all ages, all levels of fitness – are keen to give dragon boating a go they can definitely get in touch with us,” says Bets.
