The Steampunk'n Thames Arts Festival started with a colourful circus last week and continues this weekend with the Wearable Arts Show on Saturday night.
Cassandra's piece was created and inspired by a classic Coromandel summer's day at the beach while sitting under the shade of a Pohutukawa while reading a book and eating chocolates.
The costume was created using machine embroidered organza leaves, machine embroidered organza seaweed and chocolate wrappers.
This year's Wearable Arts Show features designer Annah Stretton, NZ body artist Mem Bourke and locally infamous Mamma Gin on the judging panel.
It at 7pm and has a range of categories including Kidz Renew-Reuse-Recycle, Staempunk Body Art & Creations, Hat, Hair and Underwear and anything goes.
