Door sales for fashion show

Door sales are available for the Cambodia Charitable Trust fashion show at Classic Flyers on Saturday night.

The tickets, available from 5.30pm, are being made available due to high demand.

The show starts at 7pm and tickets are $40 or $60. In addition to the fashion show there is a dance segment and an auction of clothing from supporting retailers. Exotic goods are also on sale from a mini-market.

All money raised goes directly to the schools supported by the Cambodia Charitable Trust.

The Cambodia Charitable Trust's intent is to assist the Cambodian people from the trap of extreme poverty, to strengthen communities and to provide health and education for the Cambodian children.

The charity's main intent is to enable children to go to school and equip their teachers so they're able to deliver a good education.

They have enabled thousands of boys and girls to have access to an education, and supported the development of the teachers.

Why a Charity Show For Cambodia

Charity begins at home ! There are far more deserving charities in NZ than one in Cambodia. Would Cambodians put money into a charity in NZ ? Like hell they would.

What does charity mean

NZ support our Pacific Island neighbours with funding, we send support to nations when disaster strikes whether it be a Tsunami or any other disaster. Funny enough when the Christchurch earthquake strikes overseas people & money was sent over here. Truly we live in a global society. Cambodia is a amazing place that needs as much help as possible. If you did a little research into their history you would see how war & tyrants have resulted in a country that is in need of help. Good luck to the fundraiser and I hope it is successful. NZrs can spend how they choose. I don't see any tax payers money being used, so why complain.
