1814 band have been together now for 10 years and are known for their hard hitting shows and energetic live sets.

Rhythm guitarist Patu Colbert says the band have been living and breathing their new tracks in the studio and they're looking forward to jamming them out on stage.

'I've always been a big fan of road testing and this is a great chance to let people know what we've been creating behind closed doors for most of this year," he says.

The band released their new single ‘Perfectly Ugly' on iTunes recently and the anti-bullying themed song talks about accepting ourselves as who we are.

Following the Brewers Bar show the band will then perform at Kalah Bar in Ngongotaha on Saturday night, then fly across the ditch for a show in Sydney on Labour Weekend.

1814, with support from Hazadus and the Shiznit – Tribal Conexionz, will play Brewers Bar at 107 Newton Street, Mount Maunganui, on Friday, October 10.

Doors open 8pm. This is an R18 gig and ID will be required upon entry.
