Hull Road's makeover is underway as council road works begin on upgrading it, the Totara Street and Hull Road roundabout and the intersection of Maunganui and Hull Roads.
The Tauranga City Council says delays are likely and motorists are advised to use an alternative route if possible.

The work includes upgrading the kerb and channelling and construction of a new left hand turn lane on Maunganui Road into Hull Road.
Some work will be done at night time. Council says access to business will be maintained at all times.
Depending on weather, the project is expected to take about eight weeks.
