One lane through the Karangahake Gorge is closed due to a slip in the southbound lane.

NZTA contractors are on site following a slip overnight.

The gorge remains open but traffic management is in place through the single lane area.

Minor delays are expected for motorists travelling between Waihi and Paeroa.
