All Blacks drown English hopes

The odd shower didn't dampen the excitement of seeing the All Blacks beat England for the third time in the final game of the Steinlager Series at a packed Waikato Stadium tonight.

An exciting first half had the All Blacks leading at half time 29-6.
The second half didn't thrill the crowd but still left the hosts ahead 36-13.

It must be hard to keep winning in a "sport" hardly any countries take seriously.

Agree, however the Aussies do and we beat them, does anything else matter?

Is that the way you react when confronted with the truth? How many countries have rugby as their national sport? Watching grown men rolling around on top of each other with the ball only in play for about 26 minutes per game.....you can see why most countries don't bother with it.

So Captain Sensible, it needs to be someone else's "national sport" before any NZ success counts? Does this mean that our golfers, oarsmen & women, event riders, cyclists, league and other like sports should be abandoned here 'cos there's no one has them as their "national sport"? Tell you what.... just stop watching rugby - actually all NZ sport for that matter, except perhaps soccer..

totally agree. Our country has an unhealthy obsession with nothing more than a "game" where all they do is fight over a ball, get all dirty and sweaty and then shower together. sounds a bit gay to me.

No need to be nasty. What I'm saying is why get so excited at winning a game that most of planet earth does not care for. Golfers, cyclists, rowers etc do actually compete with many countries where these sports are taken seriously. Rugby will never fall into that category. Did you know, more kiwis play football than rugby, but because the world plays football, NZ will struggle.
