The efforts of ASB Baypark contracted drivers were last night recognised at the annual Speedway New Zealand Awards dinner held at Te Papa in Wellington.

The Super Saloon Competitor of the year was presented to 1NZ Driver Mark Osborne and the Saloon Competitor of the year was awarded to 1NZ Chris Cowling.

Both Drivers have won numerous events in their respective classes during the season.

During the 2013/2014 season, Baypark drivers have won three national titles in Super Saloons, and Saloons with seasoned campaigner and Tauranga businessman Rodney Wood winning the NZ Sprint Car championship.

The Baypark Busters Superstock Team won the prestigious Palmerston North Super Stock Teams Championship capping off a very successful season for local speedway.

The 2014/2015 Speedway Season opens at Baypark on Saturday, October 25.
