Comedy convoy visiting Tauranga

A premium line-up of international and Kiwi comedians is offering a barrel of laughs for Tauranga residents this weekend when the 2degrees Comedy Convoy stops in town.

The convoy started in Nelson on May 13 and is making its way around New Zealand, performing at Baycourt Theatre on Sunday night.

Comedian and magician Jared Fell.

Speaking with SunLive ahead of the show, comedian and magician Jared Fell says the convoy is proving a great success.

'People can expect to see proposals, I will probably be proposing to a few people and [there will be] a lot of laughs.

'It's just a full on comedy show.”

Carl Donnelly from the UK joins the line-up along with Markus Birdman, also from the UK, and Kiwi comedians Paul Ego and Justine Smith.

Jared says both Carl and Markus deliver great comedy acts with a different style.

'We have all blended as a team quite well. No one has had a dud crowd yet. The UK comedy comes across quite beautifully because I think NZ comedy and UK comedy are quite similar.”

Jared has been a comedian for about seven and a half years and a magician for 12 years.

He warns Tauranga residents thinking of attending the show on Sunday to bring their cycling boots and their hate for Dynamo, a television magician.

'If they do that, they will enjoy the show.”

Tickets are available through Ticketek.

SunLive has a double pass to give away to the show. Enter under the competitions section before Sunday. Simply tell us how long has Jarred been a magician for?
