Air NZ chief speaks in Bay

Air New Zealand CEO Rob Fyfe will speak in the Bay of Plenty in July about how he and his team have taken the company "from strength to strength".
Horizon Energy, Eastern Bay Chamber of Commerce and Environment BOP have organised Rob's appearance at a business breakfast meeting in Whakatane on July 28.

Rob Fyfe has headed Air New Zealand since October 2005. In that time the airline has consolidated its financial position and undertaken significant fleet and route expansion. The company's growth and innovation have been recognised with international awards, particularly for its uniquely Kiwi service and inspiring journeys. Horizon Energy CEO Ajay Anand says this is a great opportunity for local businesses to hear about Rob's experiences and insights.
"Among its accolades, Air New Zealand received Air Transport World Public Relations Award for the management of external communications during a challenging year," says Ajay.
This is only the second time the award has been given in 11 years.
Prior to joining Air New Zealand in 2003, where he has also held the roles of Group General Manager Airlines and Chief Information Officer, Rob held senior roles globally including with National Australia Bank, Telecom NZ, Bank of New Zealand and ITV Group in the UK.
